Skyline is a New Zealand-based international tourism company. They are one of the biggest players in the New Zealand Tourism Industry, providing iconic NZ attractions with the Gondola and Luge in Rotorua and Queenstown and six other international sites.
The old website lacked a modern UX and CX design which hindered the growth and didn’t reflect the contemporary exciting physical experience they deliver to excited tourists every day. This was costing them both in online sales but also it wasn’t doing a great job of showcasing the excitement and fun experiences you can have at the Skyline attractions.

- Increase awareness of product offering
- Reduce time to book
- Improve overall user experience and engagement
Together we embarked on replacing 12 outdated websites. With significant goals to increase audience engagement and the bottom line. We kicked off with a full UX and CX review, developed personas and documented a new customer journey map to help us understand the customer requirements and the flow required. We then created a new fresh online brand identity. The final design system showcased the excitement and fun of their real-world experience and made the booking process easy. This resulted in an improved e-commerce performance with the results destroying their business case targets.
