The Interiors Group operates two of New Zealand’s most trusted retail brands, Carpet Court and Curtain Studio. With both brands under one roof but little else tying them together, we were engaged to audit, review, recommend and create a way forward — one that would connect the two brands while preserving their hard-earned strengths.
By taking the best elements of each brand, we created a refreshed, shared visual identity that signalled evolution while retaining familiarity - then we had to apply it to how customers experienced their brands online. Running two outdated websites meant double the work to manage products, update content, and maintain the tech behind the scenes.
To meet the challenge, we built a dual-brand store on a single Shopify eCommerce instance, powered by a centralised Product Information Management (PIM) system. This “single source of truth” keeps product data, pricing and availability perfectly aligned across both brands - while still allowing for two distinct visual designs and customer journeys.
For the team, it means managing just one system, making updates faster, easier and far less prone to error. And because new features roll out to both sites at once, the platform is set up to evolve seamlessly as the business grows.
Bringing two brands under one platform also required meticulous SEO planning. We developed distinct URL structures, metadata and sitemaps to avoid duplication, preserve brand authority, and ensure both Carpet Court and Curtain Studio rank strongly in their respective categories.
The end result created an efficient, simple modern experience - one backend powering both brands, cutting admin time and reducing errors, and a future-ready framework built for visibility, performance and scale.
